Membership

Membership in the Highland Dance Teachers Association of England is open to any highland dance teacher or judge who holds current professional qualifications from the BATD, UKA, or SDTA. HDTAE members must maintain their annual membership with their professional body and adhere to the principles of the Royal Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing (RSOBHD).

Members have the opportunity to develop their professional network meeting other professionals across the country. They have free access to lectures and workshops organized by the association and receive newsletters full of updated information throughout the year.

2024-2025 Membership

The membership year begins the 1st of April each year and runs to March the following year.

2024-2025 Fees are as follows:

£35 ~ FULL membership

​ £20 ~ STUDENT Membership (age 16+, studying for a highland teaching qualification)

£20 ~ for half the year (beginning 1st October)

+ £5 ~ for new or rejoining members (in addition to the subscription fee)

Members have until June 30th to pay their subscriptions at which time their membership will be considered lapsed and an additional £5 rejoining fee will be required.

~ New Members acquire voting rights once they have maintained membership in good standing for nine full months. ~
